Sea Water Air-Conditioning-Swac
A project that showcases this cooperation is a deep-water measurements executed for Evelop. Evelop was aiming to install a Sea Water Air-Conditioning (SWAC) project, southwest of the Piscadera bay area in Curacao.
In order to investigate the stability of the deep-water temperatures Landmark and MNR engineering successfully executed a measuring program from June 1997-March 2009 during which temperatures, salinities and current velocities have been measured; an example registration is presented below:
- In this registration a remarkable drop in temperature is measured at 8 am in the morning, which is associated with a maximum deep-water current of approximately 0.7 knot.
